The Story of Roma Ristorante Italiano
Anthony Giambanco and his parents came from Palermo, Italy to the states in 1968 and settled in Brooklyn, New York. Anthony started working in different restaurants and pizzerias where he learned his trade. While traveling through several different states they came across a small town of Tappahannock, Virginia. That is where the first Roma Ristorante was opened in 1976. The family started growing so Anthony went to open another location in 1993 Roma Ristorante on Staples Mill Road in Richmond Va, leaving his younger brother, Johnny, to run the original Roma in Tappahannock. Now the next Giambanco generation, Anthony’s sons Filippo and Giuseppe, have started a new Family brand, The Giambancos Italian Grill, where they strive to provide their patrons with homemade , fresh , made from scratch quality food. The Giambancos Italian Grill has a variety of gourmet pizzas, gourmet salads, pasta, chicken, veal, fresh seafood and steaks.
